Anne has been the proud owner of a fetching range of high vis jackets throughout her communications career – with ongoing themes of crime, water and plumbing. Her early career saw her organizing press calls for horses and dogs with Greater Manchester Police, before she became an expert on flooding at the Environment Agency. At Merseyside Police she was a press officer, before switching to employee communications for North West Water company, United Utilities and plumbing merchant, Wolseley. After a lovely sojourn in the world of body butter with The Body Shop, she’s now back in water (and juice!), proudly wearing orange high-vis at soft drink manufacturer, Refresco UK. She says the absolute best part of her job is having colleagues in operational jobs tell her they’ve read (and enjoyed) her comms, and she genuinely never gets tired of people asking her for posters.
