Steve is a career HR professional and has been a member of the CIPD for nearly 40 years. He joined London Gatwick in June 2022, leading the design and implementation of a holistic approach to a modern reward proposition. The approach was underpinned by a reward philosophy that was founded on fairness, where decisions are based on well researched data, and a benefits proposition that works for everyone.

Steve’s early career began in generalist HR roles for multinational FMCG and telecoms organisations, before he transitioned into a specialist reward role by leading the implementation of ‘Agenda for Change’ at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He then moved to Bupa Global and led the evolution of a global reward proposition across multiple sites. After leaving Bupa, Steve took various project consulting roles including working at Arcadia and Virgin Atlantic, before taking a strategic reward role at National Grid.
